Breeding power is an intrinsic attribute. It helps explain “why this child,” but runtime results still come from the complete matrix.

Target power intuition

Normal pairs often behave like averaging parent powers then matching the nearest breedable species. Ties and exceptions make hand math fragile—PalAtlas looks the pair up.

Why 1.0 demands lookups

1.0 changed many breeding-related values. A “near miss” on old rank charts may be far off now. Prefer a current 1.0 matrix lookup over hand math.

Power on the result panel

After a calculation, the panel shows offspring breeding power so you can compare progression steps.

Vs random inheritance

Species (under gender rules) is deterministic; passives and IVs are not. Do not treat power math as passive prediction.
